Hi guys!! Today we are going to be comparing the iPhone 4 to the Motorola Droid X, two newly released smartphones. A lot of people seem to have a problem choosing between one of them, so I decided to help. Personally I think the iPhone 4 is better for multiple reasons. First of all thanks to Apple's iTunes Store you can easily acces a wide variety of apps, movies, songs with one touch. Second of all the iPhone 4's interface seems...welcoming almost familiar and comfortable to use, with the app's rounded edges, customizable background picture...it all seems to pop out of the phone.
The Motorola Droid X, with its dull interface and "pointy" edged apps just doesn't have the same feeling. Sure it can act as an Internet hotspot for other phones, but the iPhone still has some cool new features. With a built-in gyroscope and awesome crisp graphics, gaming just took a brand new twist. Let's look at some of their characteristics.
Pricing:
The Apple iPhone costs $199 (including the 2-year contract) for the 16G and $299 for the 32G. The Motorola sadly beats it with only $200
Looks:
With its slim figure and rounded edges the iPhone 4 wins by a lanslide.
Camera:
The Motorola Droid having an eight megapixel camera against the iPhone's 5 megapixe retina display wins.
Memory:
The iPhone 4 comes with 16G or 32G is beaten by the Motorola's astounding 64G!
Calls:
The iPhone 4 wins because of it's front camera so you easily video call a friend.
Battery Life:
The iPhone 4 beats the Droid lasting 3 days longer than the latter.
So it's up to you to pick...:)

The display on the iPhone blows away the competition. 5mp camera....who cares when you have apps that help you create great pictures that blow the 8mp away. 64gb of storage would be great if you had apps that people wanted to buy. Or video that looked halfway decent. Might be fun to load it with movies for the kids, but for serious speed and apps, the iphone all the way. Also the GPS in the iPhone is faster at acquiring and even with Android as the OS, the Droid does not allow Google apps to work as smoothly as they do on the iphone.
But then again...don't get me started, I carry an iPhone 4 :)
and this was posted on facebook earlier.

@docmurdock iPhone 4 retina display certainly turned out to be one of the best reasons to upgrade from the previous version of iPhone.
Apple has always been able to integrate hardware and software very well. Even though other phones might boast higher resolution camera, iMovie for #iPhone 4 offers a complete package for the user.

I know that the iPhone 4 beats the Motorola Droid X by a landslide I just wanted to give the latter a chance even though it never had one.

Funny, we had someone over with the new Droid phone from Verizon. "It's the fastest phone on the market". I launched google earth on it, slowwwwwww, never did get to My Location, because it does not work the way it does on the iPhone. Even selecting Menu, then pressing the My Location "button" never got us to see the current location of the phone. Come on ANDROID! Can't you even find yourself? LOL.
Launched Google Earth on the iPhone, the globe spun, the zoom kicked in, and the next thing you know there was a blue dot hanging over the top of the house showing exactly where we were. I said, follow me and watch the phone, the dot followed. No menus to select, nothing additional to do.
The experience of apps on an iPhone is FAR superior to other products out there. Not sure why they can develop fast expandable hardware, but provide a crappy experience to go with it. Does not make good business sense at all.
